HorticMan will:

  • Reduce where practical the level of harmful emissions produced in the course of its operations
  • Use unleaded low sulphur fuels for machinery - including chainsaws, brushcutters, hedgetrimmers and rotary mowers
  • Use bio-degradeable chain oil to minimise damage on the environment and reduce the risk to aquatic life
  • Where practical, work operations will be carried out with a view to minimising visual, noise and other impacts on the environment.
  • Encourage all staff, clients and the community to implement sound environmental practices
  • Reuse green waste where possible - i.e. woodchip, timber, grass clippings
  • Meet and exceed where practical all relevant legislation or other regulations. The company aims to work towards ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standards accreditation within 5 years
